Transmission (gearbox) is the structure that transmits the rotational power received from the engine inside the vehicle to the wheels. However, while transmitting the rotational power, it does not transmit the power received from the engine directly to the wheels. It transfers the power to the wheels at a certain rate. It ensures constant speed, reversing when reverse gear is engaged, adjusting the torque, keeping the speed constant, keeping the vehicle running at a standstill, and providing economy at high speeds.
