What Is the CG FC200 ECU Programmer?
The CG FC200 is a professional ECU programmer supporting more than 4200 ECU/EGS types — roughly 80% of vehicles on the market. The successor to CGDI's AT200, the FC200 reads, writes and clones engine control units (ECU) and transmission control units (EGS) in three operating modes: OBD, Bench (platform) and Boot.
For 98% of ECUs, OBD or Bench mode is sufficient — no opening the case, no soldering, so the original unit stays protected. It covers Bosch, Delphi, Denso and KEFICO based controllers across European, American and Asian brands including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, the Volkswagen/Audi group, Ford, GM, Hyundai-Kia and Volvo.
For chip tuning workshops, automotive electronics specialists and locksmiths, it combines module cloning, BMW ISN read/write, online checksum calculation and VIN correction in a single tool.
3 Operating Modes
Work through the vehicle's OBD port, on the desk in Bench mode without opening the ECU, or directly at processor level in Boot mode. 98% of ECUs never need to be opened.
Module Clone
Reads data from a failed ECU/EGS and writes it to a replacement unit with no synchronization matching required; automatic verification protects chips and modules.
BMW ISN Read / Write
Retrieves the ISN code from BMW ECUs including MSV90, MSD85/87, N20, N55, B48 and B58 — used for key matching and immobilizer service. MSV80 is supported in Bench mode.
Online Checksum
Calculates the checksum of a modified file online, preserving data integrity after chip tuning so the ECU never drops into fault mode.
