KT200 II Operating Modes
OBD Programming
ECU read/write by connecting directly to the vehicle OBD-II diagnostic socket. The fastest and easiest method without removing the ECU. Separate protocols for passenger cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles and marine vehicles.
Bench Mode
The ECU is removed from the vehicle but the case stays closed. Read/write via external pin cable connections. Works with BENCH Box V.2 on Bosch EDC17, MED17, Siemens PCR2.1, Delphi DCM6.2V and MD1 series ECUs.
Boot Mode
Direct access to boot pins on the PCB with the ECU case opened. The most advanced method for ECUs that cannot be read via OBD or Bench. Full flash/EEPROM access on Infineon TriCore processor ECUs.
BDM / JTAG
Access to older and special ECUs via Background Debug Mode and JTAG interface. Used on Motorola/Freescale processor ECUs. This mode, rare on rivals, is standard on KT200 II.
Full System (Pinout)
Direct access to the ECU MICRO processor, FLASH and EEPROM memory. Full read/write on Bosch, Continental, Delco, Denso, Marelli, Siemens and Temic brand ECUs.
