The Jaltest SST (Speed Sensor Tester) is a compact, portable tester from Cojali's Jaltest Tools workshop equipment range, designed to check whether active and passive speed sensors are working correctly. Thanks to its LED indicator panel, it shows the fault visually in an instant — no difficult, complex measurements with an oscilloscope or multimeter required.

What Does the Jaltest SST Do?

With its two operating modes, the Jaltest SST tests both the sensor itself and the ECU side it is connected to:

1. Sensor Test

It detects short-circuit and open-circuit faults in active (Hall effect) and passive (inductive) speed sensors. The result is displayed instantly on the LED panel.

2. Signal Simulation

The device simulates the speed sensor signal, letting you check the behaviour of the wiring harness, connectors and ECU directly. This way you can quickly tell whether the fault lies in the sensor, the wiring or the ECU.

Where Is It Used?

It is used on every vehicle fitted with speed sensors — from heavy-duty vehicles such as trucks, trailers and buses to agricultural and construction machinery, forklifts and marine engines; in particular for checking ABS/EBS wheel speed sensors and engine and transmission speed sensors.
