What Is the Launch BST-360?
The BST-360 is a Bluetooth-connected test clamp that makes battery and charging system testing practical. Unlike a conventional tester it does not leave the result on a display — it sends it wirelessly to your Launch scan tool or a smartphone app.
That produces a report you can show the customer. Handing over a printout with measured values, rather than saying "your battery is dead", makes a difference both for the conversation and for your records.
The tool works on 6V and 12V batteries, supports lead-acid, GEL and AGM types and covers ten international measurement standards.

Does it work standalone, or is a scan tool required?
A scan tool is not required. It connects over Bluetooth to an app on your iOS/Android phone. If you do have a Launch scan tool, battery testing becomes part of the diagnostic flow.
Does it measure AGM batteries correctly?
Yes. It supports lead-acid, GEL and AGM types and measures against the relevant reference once you select the battery type.
What do the cranking and charging tests add?
A no-start is not always the battery. Cranking and charging tests separate whether the problem is the battery, the starter motor or the charging system.
