What Is the Launch X-431 PRO SE?
The X-431 PRO SE (also listed by the manufacturer as PRO V5.0) is the mid-to-high tier scan tool in Launch's X-431 PRO series. It packages the family's wide coverage, bi-directional control and OE-level diagnostic depth into more accessible hardware.
The tool communicates with the vehicle through a redesigned VCI. Bluetooth gives freedom of movement around the shop, while a cabled connection is preferable for work that cannot tolerate a dropout, such as coding. It performs full system diagnostics on U.S., European and Asian vehicles from 1996 onward.

Yes. The manufacturer lists this model as PRO SE in some markets and PRO V5.0 in others; the hardware and software are the same.
Do I need anything extra for DoIP?
DoIP is supported but requires an additional cable. Tell us which vehicle groups you work on and we will identify the right cable with you.
Does the tool keep working after the update period ends?
