Historical Development of Electric Vehicles

The developing world brings with it new technologies. There have been many innovations in the automobile industry as well.

One of the most prominent of these innovations has been "Electric vehicles". For many years, many brands have produced electric vehicles, but none of them have achieved the desired success.

However, Tesla's start to produce electric vehicles in 2006 had a revolutionary effect in the automobile industry.

Today, many brands have accelerated the production of electric vehicles and it is seen that the use of electric vehicles will be quite common in the future.

Electric cars, as the name suggests, are cars that run on electricity. Environmental pollution caused by other fuels is completely avoided thanks to these cars, and the fact that electrical energy is more costly than other types of fuel provides a great advantage to users.

Electric cars have brought new needs with them. As with most electrical devices, electric vehicles also have batteries.

Just as other cars run on gasoline or diesel fuel, electric cars use the electricity in their batteries as fuel. New technologies have been developed to fill these batteries. The most important of these is the EV Charging System.

What is the EV Charger system?

EV Charging is a charging system designed to charge the batteries of electric vehicles. There are 2 types of electric current in these EV Charger systems. These; AC(Alternative current) and Direct current(Direct current). The current from the mains comes as AC current.

In the AC charging system, the incoming current is converted to DC and the battery is charged. In this system, the incoming AC current is converted to DC in the vehicle.

In EV charger systems with DC current, this converter is inside the EV charger system.

In other words, the incoming current as AC turns into DC current with EV Chargers with DC current. In addition, the incoming current is sent directly to the battery without the need for conversion in the vehicle.

This system is a faster system than other AC current EV charger system.

Differences between AC and DC Ev charger?

In EV charger systems with AC current, the incoming power is converted to DC in the vehicle, and no matter how strong the incoming current is, only the converted current is transferred to the battery.

Therefore, in AC current EV Charger systems, the charge is stably charged. On the contrary, in EV charger systems with DC current, a stronger current is provided to the vehicle as the current is converted within the system. Therefore, a faster charging is possible with DC EV Chargers.
