WHAT IS DIESEL PARTICLE FILTER?

After the Euro1, Euro2 and Euro3 engine vehicles that started in 1993, Euro4 engine vehicles took the stage in Diesel vehicles in 2006.

Diesel Particulate Filters started to be used in vehicles due to both environmental concerns and technological advances and industrial concerns.

Thanks to companies and organizations that care about protecting nature, the Emission standard has been brought and the Diesel Particulate Filter has become mandatory in Euro 5 and Euro 6.

The Diesel Particulate Filter prevents the release of environmentally harmful solid wastes in the exhaust by trapping them in the filter.

However, these wastes increase over time and cause blockages.

Pressure sensors control the fill rates at the Diesel Particulate level and warn the driver.

When the occupancy in the filter reaches the clogging level, the Regeneration process starts and the filter is cleaned itself. However, in some cases, the regeneration process does not take place and does not clean the filter.

In this case, the vehicle will lose traction and prevent the engine from working efficiently.

In this case, the DPF warning light illuminates in the vehicle and gives a warning.

The process that needs to be done is to ensure that the vehicle runs at a constant speed and high rpm, so that the engine sends more fuel and the exhaust system overheats.

When this temperature reaches approximately 600 degrees, the regeneration process is started again and the soot formed in the filter is burned and disposed of.

In this case, if the Diesel Particulate Filter is not cleaned, the action to be taken is either replacing the DPF or removing it and cleaning it using special liquids in special machines.

Since DPF replacement brings much higher costs, its cleaning saves both cost and time.

Why Is the Diesel Particulate Filter Clogged?

Low-quality fuel used, excessive use in city traffic, long-term idling of the vehicle, and use of oil in the wrong locations can be counted.

Especially the use of oil that does not comply with international standards causes blockages to a great extent.

What happens if the Diesel Particulate Filter Is Not Cleaned?

  • It may lead to the replacement of the Diesel Particulate filter, which is expensive.
  • It causes up to 5% more fuel consumption.
  • It causes the engine power and engine torque to decrease.
  • It shortens the life of the catalytic converter.
  • Vehicle turbo, EGR Valve, injectors and engine are damaged.

How to clean the Diesel Particulate Filter?

Specially produced machines and also special liquids are used for Diesel Particulate Filter cleaning.

Both private and authorized Service Centers and end users should do research in the selection of machine and cleaning fluid, which is very important for a healthy, quality and fast cleaning.

Nitro Mechatronics has left its mark on the sector with the Diesel Particulate Filter Washing Machine it has produced.

This machine, which cleans passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and heavy vehicles quickly with high efficiency, draws attention with its very affordable price compared to its counterparts.

How To Use The Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning Machine?

DPF is removed from passenger, light commercial or heavy vehicle vehicles and brought to the application center to be washed.

The filter is conveniently and securely mounted on the machine.

Depending on the clogged filter, manual or automatic mode is preferred.

Washing liquid control is provided.

After all checks, the cleaning process is started.

Cleaning steps are followed by the voice control system. (This feature is not available in all DPF cleaning machines.

Nitro Mechatronics distinguishes itself from its competitors with this system developed by itself.)

After all the processes are completed and the cleaning is finished, the printout of the occupancy rate is taken from the DPF machine and given to the user.

Features of Diesel Particulate Filter

It can perform Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning in all passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and heavy vehicles.

The DPF machine is completely made of stainless steel and is extremely resistant to water and impact.

Apart from the Turkish language option, there are also English and German language options suitable for overseas use. Language options will provide more options in the future.

Manual or Automatic Mode selection can be made according to the occupancy rate of the Diesel Particulate level.

According to the availability; Preferences such as the number of washings, the amount of cleaning liquid, the amount of air and water can be offered.

In order to document that the process is done properly, the document showing the filter status after cleaning can be obtained from the device in PDF format.

The average washing time is as short as 19 minutes. However, the time can be changed manually according to the DPF occupancy rate.

There is a 20 liter washer fluid tank. And with this 20 Liters, Diesel Particulate Filter cleaning of 20 Passenger cars or 10 heavy-duty vehicles can be done.
