What Does the Full Self-Driving System Do?

Full Self-Driving System

Because it has become a necessity in the automotive sector, many brands produce automobiles. Some of these are quite popular compared to others.

One of them is Tesla, which has revolutionized the industry with its electric vehicles.

Tesla is perhaps one of the most technologically advanced companies today. When we look at Tesla vehicles, beyond the mechanisms needed simply to move the car, they contain many applications supported by artificial intelligence.

One of the most prominent of these applications is the Full Self-Driving feature.

What Does the Full Self-Driving System Do?

This feature is one of Tesla's most advanced capabilities. It is more advanced than the Autopilot feature in Tesla vehicles.

As is known, Autopilot only offered speed control and lane keeping. Full Self-Driving offers many additional features beyond these two.

These features include:

-Navigate on Autopilot: This feature suggests lane changes, automatically activates turn signals when needed, and guides the driver along the highway.

-Auto Lane Change: Evaluates all conditions according to traffic flow and automatically directs you to the most suitable lane.

-Auto Park: With this feature, the vehicle parks vertically or horizontally with a single touch.

-Summon: With this feature, you can call your vehicle to you from a tight space using the key or app — for example, bringing your parked car from the parking lot to you.

-Smart Summon: This feature is used in more complex environments. For example, in a crowded area or parking lot, your vehicle maneuvers to find you and comes to your side.

-Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control: With this feature, the vehicle detects traffic lights and stop signs and slows itself accordingly.

-Autosteer on City Streets: This feature automatically navigates you within the city.

These features are extremely advanced, but driver supervision is still required. Making this fully autonomous would require many years of testing. Only then could it reach the reliability of a human driver.
