What Is a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)?
Also known by its short name DPF, the diesel particulate filter is an exhaust system component that has been required on diesel cars since 2009 (present on all Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles). It prevents pollutants and particulate matter such as PM, NOx, HC and CO — produced by the combustion of diesel fuel in the engine — from being released into the atmosphere.
With a structure that resembles a honeycomb — which we can also describe as an “efficient hexagon” — the system helps reduce emissions from diesel vehicles and ensures that emission standards are met.

What Does a Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning Machine Do?
There are many factors that cause your diesel particulate filter to clog:
- Low-quality fuel
- Leaving the vehicle idling for long periods
- Using oil with the wrong specifications
- Driving for long periods at low speed in heavy traffic
Factors like these increase the level of particles trapped by the diesel particulate filter and, over time, can lead to filter clogging.
Pressure sensors in the diesel particulate filter measure the level of accumulated particles. When a critical particle level is detected, the regeneration process starts under suitable conditions.
In some cases the vehicle cannot complete regeneration, and the soot level reaches a point that prevents the engine from running efficiently. Sometimes your vehicle may be unable to regenerate, and the particle level can gradually reduce engine efficiency.
When soot / diesel particulate matter clogs the filter in situations like these, the Diesel Particulate Filter needs to be cleaned / washed regularly.
DPF cleaning machines make it possible to clean soot and particles easily — with nearly 100% efficiency while keeping the DPF emission value the same — on all brands and models of passenger, heavy-duty and light commercial vehicles covered by emission standards Euro 4, 5 and 6, using a washing fluid produced with nanotechnology.

Why Is Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning Necessary? Can I Remove the Diesel Particulate Filter?
Soot, which we can also call particles, can fill the storage capacity of the Diesel Particulate Filter and clog the filter.
This stops the engine from running properly and you will see the DPF warning light on your instrument cluster.
A clogged DPF also causes problems such as:
- Loss of power,
- Increased fuel consumption,
- Injector, turbo and EGR valve faults,
- The start-stop button being disabled,
- Uneven engine running.
In these situations there are two necessary options: have a DPF Cleaning / Washing service performed, or replace your DPF. However, replacing the Diesel Particulate Filter costs you far more than cleaning it, and there is unfortunately no guarantee that it will not clog again.
In addition, in many countries including Turkey (prohibited by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Environment and Urbanization), it is illegal to operate a vehicle designed with a diesel particulate filter without a DPF.
Removing the Diesel Particulate Filter is treated as equivalent to polluting the environment and is considered a legal offence.
Cancelling the diesel particulate filter causes extreme harm to your vehicle, the environment and your wallet.
What Are the Benefits of a Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning Machine?
- Once freed from particles, the engine starts running with better performance
- Regular cleaning of the DPF extends engine life
- Fuel consumption falls to a minimum
- It lowers emission values and contributes to the future of the world we live in
This list can go on. Let’s take a closer look at the diesel particulate filter cleaning machine that makes all of this possible.
In terms of features, the DPF cleaning machine:
- Fast and advanced DPF washing
- Minimum cost and savings on process time
- Average 30-minute process time for heavy-duty diesel filters
- Technical support and user training
- Adapters required for 20 different passenger vehicle models and 10 different heavy-duty vehicle models, plus a nanotechnology cleaning fluid that cleans particles even from channels remaining under 1 mm
- Liquid storage capacity of up to 20 litres
- After the process, you can save measurement reports as PDF to a removable drive or print them
- Nearly 100% efficiency and long service life
- Multilingual operation and other user-friendly, versatile features
To protect both your vehicle and the environment you live in, having your diesel particulate filter cleaned is beneficial.
