After the fuel used in diesel vehicles, substances and gases harmful to nature are emitted.

To prevent this, recently manufactured vehicles are now required to have a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).

Thanks to this filter, the harmful waste coming out of the exhaust is stored and the damage it would cause to the environment is prevented.

However, while doing this, some drawbacks also arise for the vehicle.

As the filter accumulates this harmful waste inside itself, it can no longer clean itself out or operate properly, and the vehicle both loses power and consumes more fuel.

 Many vehicles handle the cleaning of this waste automatically and get rid of it.

This process is called regeneration. However, as the filter fills up, the automatic regeneration process can no longer work properly and requires manual intervention.

This means running the vehicle at a certain speed and at high RPM for a while, causing the exhaust to overheat and thereby cleaning the filter.

So what should be done if neither automatic nor manual regeneration provides a solution?

At this point, the solution is either washing the DPF with special cleaning machines and special fluid, or replacing it completely.

However, since replacement involves high costs, cleaning with an external machine is generally preferred.

There are many DPF washing machines on the market. However, with these machines, the DPF must be removed from the vehicle, brought to the washing center, and then reinstalled.

This is again a solution that increases cost and time for the user. In addition, since these machines are large in volume, they take up space in the workshop and cannot handle situations requiring immediate intervention.

How Is the Nitro DCM01 Mobile Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning Machine Used?

Before starting the cleaning process, we must make sure the engine is cold.

Since the fluids used in cleaning are chemicals, protective equipment such as gloves and goggles must be used.

We will mount the connection adapters included with the machine onto the sensors on the vehicle.

Then we start the engine at idle and begin the process by pressing the Hydrogen button on the machine.

As this process starts, the DPF cleaning fluid will be activated automatically. The cleaning process will end automatically after a certain time.

However, we will not shut off the vehicle just because it is finished, and we will keep it running at idle for about 3 more minutes.

Then we move to the final cleaning stage with water, and the throttle is applied so that the vehicle runs at 2500 RPM.

After the cleaning process is finished, the connection adapters will be removed and the sensors reinstalled. Finally, a suitable diagnostic tool will be connected to perform DPF regeneration and fault reset.
