On-Vehicle Particulate Cleaning Process

The diesel particulate filter, which we call DPF for short, is a filter found in diesel-engine vehicles to prevent harmful gases from the vehicle from spreading into the environment.

Diesel particulate filters fill up over time and become clogged. As time passes, these filters need to be cleaned, deleted, regenerated or replaced.

Filled filters both cause an increase in fuel consumption and, since exhaust gas will increase, cause greater harm to the environment. At this point, since replacement is costly, cleaning is generally preferred.

Which Machines Are Used for the Cleaning Process?

Performing regeneration is one option for cleaning. But apart from that, this process is done with machines.

The particulate filter can be removed and cleaned inside a machine, but machines have also been produced that perform this cleaning on the vehicle, allowing for a much easier process. 

Our company Nitro Mekatronik, one of the names shaping the diagnostic sector, has produced the Mobile Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning Machine with its own R&D team.

The Mobile Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning Machine enables filter cleaning to be performed on the vehicle in vehicles equipped with a DPF.

You can easily clean the soot accumulated inside the particulate filter through the vehicle's differential and oxygen pressure sensors.

Working with the special hydrogen cleaning fluid used for this process, together with water and regeneration, the Mobile Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning Machine completes the cleaning process in as little as about 30 minutes, without removing the filter.

The machine easily dissolves the ash, oil and soot deposits accumulated on the DPF and catalytic converter with its special chemical fluid, and ensures the dissolved waste is expelled from the vehicle through the exhaust with the help of water.

How Is the Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning Process Performed?

First, ensure your own safety with protective equipment such as gloves and goggles.

Make sure the engine of the vehicle to be serviced is cold.

Connect the machine to the sensor points with its adapter. 

While the vehicle is running at idle, when you press the hydrogen button on the machine, the DPF fluid will be delivered to the vehicle automatically.

The process will end automatically. But once the process is finished, the engine should remain at idle for a short while longer. Afterwards, the water application will begin, and at this stage the throttle is applied until the vehicle reaches 2500 RPM.

When the process is finished, the sensors should be reinstalled and DPF regeneration and DPF reset operations should be performed on the vehicle with a diagnostic tool, so the DPF light will turn off.

What Are the Advantages of the Mobile Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning Machine?

Since this machine performs cleaning on the vehicle, it will first of all save time and, since no removal and reinstallation is needed, save labor. And it is more affordable than other machines.
