Internal combustion engine vehicles have been in our lives for many years.
These vehicles have made our lives much easier and they are at the center of our lives. When they first came out, the people for whom they served our needs so greatly did not see or did not want to see the harmful aspects of these vehicles.
Because there were no alternatives to these vehicles at that time. Later, various regulations were made for these damages (such as adding DPF or Adblue systems to diesel vehicles), but these regulations were not sufficient to prevent damages.
Today, there has been a very important development to prevent these damages; electric cars.
What reasons are there for us to replace vehicles with internal combustion engines and use electric vehicles instead?
There are many reasons for us to abandon internal combustion engine vehicles and switch to electric vehicles.
These vehicles do not only provide us with an economic advantage, they also provide us with many advantages.
The reasons I will mention below are perhaps the most important reasons that will direct us to the electric vehicle and these are;
These vehicles work very quietly: Since these vehicles do not have an internal combustion engine, there is no vibration when the vehicle is running, so that the vehicle does not make much noise while running.
This not only provides us with a more enjoyable ride, but also significantly reduces noise pollution.
These vehicles do not pollute the environment: When these vehicles operate, no combustion occurs, thus preventing the spread of greenhouse gases and harmful gases. This gives us a cleaner environment.
These vehicles are more powerful: These vehicles are as powerful as any other vehicle, and even more powerful at acceleration.
They use the kinetic energy generated when braking to charge the battery at a certain rate.
These vehicles need less maintenance: The electric motor in these vehicles contains 90 percent fewer components than internal combustion engines, so it is easier to maintain.
These vehicles make it easy for us to save money: A vehicle with a diesel engine consumes approximately 6 liters of fuel per 100 km.
Electric vehicles consume approximately 16kWh of energy per 100 km. If we consider an annual 20000 km drive, a 20000 km drive in an electric vehicle costs an average of 7000 Turkish liras, while a 20000 km drive with a diesel vehicle costs an average of 23000 Turkish liras. Thus, it is possible to save around 16000 Turkish lira per year.
In short, electric vehicles offer us a quieter environment, cleaner nature, stronger driving pleasure and economic savings.
