Autel Maxisys Ultra Oscilloscope Usage
An oscilloscope is, in general terms, an electrical and electronic measurement device.
It is used in all electrical and electronic equipment and, like in many sectors, provides great convenience to staff in vehicle workshops.
It is used to measure electronic circuits and components on the vehicle.
Autel, a world brand in vehicle diagnostics that produces many products for the diagnostic sector, also manufactures oscilloscopes and has addressed the gap technicians had in this area.
With the oscilloscope built into the Ultra, the latest product in the Maxisys series, technicians can perform many jobs with the device they bought and also take electronic circuit measurements on the vehicle.
How Is the Maxisys Ultra Oscilloscope Used?
Oscilloscope introduction with the Autel Maxisys Ultra device
First, sensors on the vehicle are diagnosed. From vehicle selection, choose the make of the vehicle you are working on. Injectors, automatic transmissions, ABS, airbag, UCH and other modules on the vehicle are scanned and live data from the modules found is checked.
With the oscilloscope on Autel's interface, a signal is sent and the turbo pressure sensor on the vehicle is measured. After diagnosis is complete, work begins together with the oscilloscope.
Probe tips in the case are connected to the oscilloscope, one side positive and one negative. Ground is taken from the battery. The external turbo pressure sensor will be measured.
Open the details of the diagnosed fault shown on the screen. View live data from the 'Live Data' option and click Parameters.
Find the turbo pressure sensor in the filter section. From oscilloscope measurements select 'Waveform Generator' and send a signal to the sensor as 'DC Voltage'. Enter the voltage value of the vehicle running at idle on the screen.
If the mbar value in live data on screen matches the value after the sensor is fitted, you conclude the sensor is not faulty.
