WHAT IS ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHT TECHNOLOGY?
Adaptive headlight technology is an effective safety feature designed to provide safer driving by increasing visibility on bends and hills at night or in low light conditions. You are on a road with extreme bends, they can illuminate your real path by adjusting the direction of the headlight.
This will save you from a possible accident. Standard headlights can also leave oncoming drivers in a difficult situation when cornering. Adaptive headlights will only illuminate the front of you, thus avoiding this situation. Adaptive headlights sometimes called active headlights or adaptive front lighting systems
HOW ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHTS WORK?
These headlights consist of various components controlled by an electronic control unit. These are, in short, sensors that control wheel speeds, deflection sensors that understand when the vehicle is turning, sensors that monitor the steering angle and small motors connected to each headlight. These headlights use electronic sensors that can detect your steering angle according to the direction of your vehicle. Data from the sensors are interpreted by the ECU. These data are values that give the vehicle speed, the angle and the length of the bend. Then the ECU sends the information about how many degrees and which direction it will turn to the engines connected to the headlights.
ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHT SYSTEM BENEFITS
The most important feature of this system is that it prevents accidents. Thanks to the appropriate headlight illumination it offers on dark roads and in foggy weather, it prevents drivers from making an accident. By providing suitable light in the bends, it allows the driver to see the whole road while turning. It automatically adjusts the headlight beam length in traffic and on long journeys, preventing the other party's driving from being adversely affected.
