Konya Tire Pressure Sensor Failure
TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) monitors in-vehicle tire values in real time and reports them to the driver.
The system entered production in 2006, became widespread on many vehicles, and was made mandatory in the European Union in 2014.
Tire pressure sensors are widely used on vehicles sold in Turkey and provide a major safety advantage in preventing accidents.
TPMS sensors are found on most vehicles from 2014 onward.
These sensors help balanced driving and can also save fuel.
TPMS faults — the nightmare of tire shops — are common today. On some vehicles resetting the fault light on the instrument cluster works; on others it does not.
When a TPMS sensor faults, tire pressure should be checked. After driving 3–4 km the TPMS fault light may go off.

How Are TPMS Sensor Coding and Calibration Performed?
The TPMS sensor is located on the tire valve or wheel and communicates with the electronic control unit.
Each sensor contains a battery and is typically usable for about five years; after that it must be replaced and coded.

Besides battery life, sensors may fail for other reasons and must be replaced. TPMS sensors cannot be repaired.
Before replacement, ID data must be read from the old TPMS sensor and transferred to the new one. The fault may not clear immediately; calibration and adaptation must be completed.
