Euro 6 Adblue Fault Solutions

On Euro 4, Euro 5, and Euro 6 vehicles, Adblue is injected into the exhaust gas via an injector before the gases reach the SCR catalyst, under engine compartment control.

High heat in the exhaust system converts the Adblue additive into an ammonia mixture. Ammonia and nitrogen oxides then penetrate the SCR catalysts, react with each other, and convert into two harmless components: nitrogen and water vapor.

Adblue is a non-toxic chemical additive mixture for fuel and human health. It is generally added to a small compartment (around 1-1.5 liters) in the fuel tank area when the vehicle is manufactured, providing approximately 125,000-150,000 km of driving.

After this additive runs out or the system fails, the vehicle gives a warning that varies by model. Adblue additive and system checks are often not carefully performed during service maintenance, which is why Adblue faults are frequently encountered.

An Adblue emulator is a system that can alter signals passing through Canbus lines to the ECU.

This emulator sends the ECU a signal that the Adblue tank is 75% full and the system is working flawlessly, so the vehicle does not lose pulling power.
