How Does a Vehicle Air Conditioning System Work?
Vehicle air conditioning both cools and cleans the air.
A pollen filter and an activated carbon filter are used to clean the air in the vehicle's air conditioning system.
The air conditioning operating principle is as follows:
- A substance absorbs heat when it changes from liquid to gas.
- A substance releases heat when it changes from gas to liquid.
- Heat always flows from a warmer substance to a cooler one.
Air conditioning does not actually produce cold air; it cools outside air by passing it through the evaporator, or it draws heat from the air inside the vehicle by passing cabin air through the evaporator, and this air is blown into the vehicle with the help of the fan.
- Compressor: It draws in the cold air from the evaporator together with the gaseous refrigerant at low pressure, then compresses it.
The compressed substance is forced from the compressor into the condenser as a high-pressure, high-temperature gas.
- The cool outside air cools the hot refrigerant inside and converts it to liquid. A high-pressure, medium-temperature liquid forms at the condenser.
- The high-pressure liquid is reduced in pressure by the expansion valve and sent to the evaporator.
Pressure drops from high to low. As the refrigerant changes from liquid to gas in the evaporator, it absorbs heat from the surroundings and cools them.
Clean air passed through the evaporator by a fan leaves its heat in the evaporator and is delivered into the vehicle as cool air.
Even if there is no problem with the vehicle's air conditioning, it is recommended to clean the air conditioning system once or twice a year.
If the air conditioning system is not cleaned, it can cause Legionnaires' disease (a type of pneumonia) in the driver or passengers.
An uncleaned air conditioning system can cause mold and fungi to grow, leading to allergies and asthma. Air conditioning cleaning should be performed with professional equipment designed for this purpose.
With the MS101P Air Conditioning System Cleaning Stand manufactured by MSG, you can easily clean vehicle air conditioning systems.
