How Is a Steering Column Lock Fault Resolved?

How Is a Steering Column Lock Fault Resolved?

The mechanism into which the key enters is called EZS. The mechanism that opens and closes the steering lock in cars with slotted or keyless go systems is called ELV.

Steering column lock faults can occur on their own. The occurrence of the fault in vehicles is not linked to any specific cause.

In keyless-entry cars or vehicles that run without inserting the ignition key, the probability of encountering a steering column lock fault is quite high.

When the fault occurs, even if there is no problem with the vehicle key, the steering column lock cannot engage and the working key will not start the vehicle.

When a steering column lock fault is encountered, key readers cannot turn the key and prevent the vehicle from running. However, you can resolve the steering column lock fault using a column lock emulator.

After installing the column lock emulator on the vehicle, the steering column lock fault is resolved, you can turn the key and start your vehicle.

The column lock emulators we manufacture can work compatibly with many brands and models and help you resolve the problem.

Our ESL/ELV column lock emulators that we manufacture can connect seamlessly on Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, Renault, Nissan and Volvo brand vehicles.

Our column lock emulators are as practical to use as they are functional. Plug-and-play use is possible without any wiring or programming.

If your vehicle has a steering column lock fault, you will not be able to unlock the vehicle. When you encounter this situation, you will need to remove the steering column lock. After removal, you can easily install and use the column lock emulator.
