The device performs many diagnostic operations, primarily reading and clearing fault codes. You can successfully perform automatic diagnosis, live data viewing, instant data recording, injector coding, software and flash updates for the current ECU, reprogramming of PCM, ABS, airbag, fuel pump, instrument cluster, and all modules, key programming, speed limit removal, adaptation and calibration operations, and flash and software updates via the J2534 protocol.

Which software does the Opel GM MDI diagnostic tool use?

Global TIS 32v, Tech 2 Win 178v, and GDS 2 v2019.6 are installed on your computer with the MDI device.

You can work on most models with these versions. With the Tech 2 Win version, you can also service older models.

This device, normally used in authorized services, can be hard for independent workshops to obtain.
