Autel Maxisys Ultra fault detection device, which is the latest product of Autel company, has been produced using the latest technology in software and hardware.
The workshops in the sector have many features by which the services can largely do their job. Ultra device is the end product of the series and has many superior functions such as oscilloscope, multimeter, life bus control, waveform generator. With the included oscilloscope, you can easily make your electronic measurements.
In this article, we will see the use of oscilloscope and signal generator.
First of all, the oscilloscope is selected from the measurements section. Click on the vehicle section for maf sensor measurement.
On the screen, there will be options such as actuators, ignition systems, battery charging, combination test, engine start option, sensors, data communication, from there we select the sensors.
Mass air flow (MAF) sensor option is selected in the Sensors section. Maf sensor comes in two types. (working with analogue and frequency) We make the selection according to which vehicle we will operate with and continue.
After making a selection, we will see general explanations and we will translate them from the converter part. Here, what we have to do and what materials are required are explained.
We open the oscilloscope and the maf sensor connection scheme. Here, how the connection is, which end the cables will be connected to is shown.
Afterwards, the image is shared live and we make the connection accordingly. The signal we need to see shows us the voltage values in the "example" section. Error codes related to Maf are displayed in an ordered order.
There are four cables in the vehicle where the maf sensor is located; For positive voltage, negative voltage, mass air measurement, air temperature measurement ..
The person doing the process will press the start button on the screen to understand this and the vehicle will be started. The probe tip is brought into contact with one of the cables.
After the sample signal on the screen and the vehicle connection is made, the compatibility of the output signal is checked. You can customize the measurement from the screen that opens. (Cycle time, maximum, frequency, real rms, etc.)
The properties you have selected are opened on the side. And here, according to the reaction of the gas, we can see that the signal of the maf sensor shrinks or expands, increases or decreases.
Second, the probe tip is brought into contact with the second cable. You can see the supply voltage of the sensor. It is checked whether the value has changed again in a sub-option.
In the other sub-connection, you reduce the voltage value and determine the maximum range. You see the air temperature measurement.
Another process you will do with the oscilloscope is throttle measurement. Again, on the first screen, the throttle is selected from the sensors section.
This comes in two types. (Electronic throttle control, throttle position sensor ..) Throttle position sensor is selected and we see a connection diagram.
Again, the necessary signal and the actions we need to do are explained, and the relevant error codes are shown.
For measurement, the vehicle is started and the probe tip is brought into contact with the throttle. And it is checked whether the measurement is the same as the signal given in the example.
Apart from oscilloscope measurements, the device can also control the signal values of the measured values from the signal generator part.
The positive and negative connections of the vehicle are made for the signal generator. The positive end is connected with the temperature.
And by looking at whether the reaction of the ecu to the temperature sensor is normal, it is understood whether the fault is from the sensor or the part that goes to the ecu.
With Autel Maxisys Ultra Oscilloscope, you can control many sensors.
