DPF Fault and Cleaning in Construction Machinery — How Is It Done?

DPF Fault and Cleaning in Construction Machinery — How Is It Done?

Models from 2006 onward have a DPF (diesel particulate filter) system.

New-generation construction machinery also uses DPF systems — part of the exhaust system that traps soot from diesel combustion.

What causes DPF clogging in construction machinery?

  • Running at low RPM
  • Short-distance use
  • Low-quality fuel
  • Low-quality engine oil

These factors can clog the DPF. Long drives at steady speed may partially clear a blocked filter, but a fully clogged DPF must be cleaned.

When DPF is blocked, the engine may stop, the fault light comes on, power drops and the machine faults.

Two options: replace the DPF or clean/wash it. Replacement costs more than cleaning.

How is construction machinery DPF/catalyst cleaning done with Dpf Clean Pro?

The DPF/catalyst must be removed from the vehicle. The machine shows soot levels before and after cleaning. Washing takes about 30 minutes; after drying, the unit is reinstalled.

Dpf Clean Pro features:

  • Compatible with passenger, heavy-duty and construction machinery
  • Stainless steel construction
  • Turkish, English and German language options
  • Manual and automatic wash modes
  • Adjustable wash/dry cycles and fluid volume
  • Before/after reporting
  • Quick wash for time savings

The diesel particulate filter is critical on all passenger and heavy-duty vehicles. DPF maintenance must not be neglected.
